ReviewsNew York Flavor in Roanoke First, the important thing: The New Yorker is a cash-only establishment. They have a very well-stocked Deli, where you can buy by the pound. But the real feature is the sandwiches, which are much bigger than one usually expects. The Pastrami on Rye is big enough to feed two, unless you're exceptionally hungry. The Onion Wheel is a very tasty combination of meats, and comes in as one of the smaller sandwiches that I've had there. The only sandwich I have ever ordered is the submarine with slaw and peppers. It is fantastic. And the prices are great.
