Good place to meet friends, date. Casual. Not a dive at all. Not too chain-y. Quality food. Go for pizzas for $8 or for nice entrees for $16, they're all good. Cool outside spots, in direct sunlight or in shade. The temperature is not always great, sometimes a bit muggy indoors, since they have a somewhat open kitchen. Can get loud since all one big room.
