ReviewsGood service if you appear ... I had gone to La Galleria twice with the owners of the company I work for, and many collegues, and the service was GREAT as well as the food. I raved and raved over how good it was and recommended it to everyone I knew. Then, my fiance and I went there one Valentine's day and the service was BAD. I was offered a special only to be told later they were out of it (it was the only thing I wanted). So they made a version of the special, omitting the special ingredient (lobster) and tried to compensate with another (shrimp) and did not go down on the price. I asked about coming down on the price (since I was not getting what I was offered) but was told no by the waiter, cook (via message of the waiter)and owner! The owner offered me a discount on a dessert on my NEXT visit. Also, the waiter never came back to offer me refills. After being very patient, I had to flag him down and ask. When we ordered dessert, it looked very different in size from the same dessert I ordered when I went there with my company. My parents and their friends had gone there a couple of days before my last visit(due to my recomendation from my previous two visits) and had a similar unsatisfactory experience to my own during my 3rd visit. In my opinion, they appear to treat you better if you appear to have money to throw around, yet if you have a modest appearance, they appear to to treat you like they don't care if you come back or not...again, my own opinion and experience. About two weeks after after my unsatisfactory experience with them, I went to Red Lobster on the spur of the moment, wearing sweats, looking tired, etc. After tasting my crab, it tasted funny to me (only happened that one time) so I politely requested they take away and just remove the charge from the check. Within minutes, the manager was at our table, apologizing, giving possible explanations why the crab may taste funny and used "fact-finding" to find out what else I liked. When I stated shrimp, she gave me a delicious order of shrimp, on the house, and I never asked for it! From that point on, Red Lobster became one of my favorite places. Whenever I see or hear of La Galleria, my mind immediately thinks of how wonderful Red Lobster is and how much more I prefer it to La Galleria.
