The smell alone is worth the trip, and the food exceeds the anticipation. The staff is friendly, and the barbecue is good enough that we bought dry ice on our last trip to Texas so that we could bring back some real barbecue from Schoepf's. They have the best all around Bar-B-Que. Besides the wonderful variety of meats I recommend the Cole Slaw, Potatoe Salad and Peach Cobbler. If you get a chance to visit a Schoepf's location and want to experience the best atmosphere you need to go to the Belton location. The Killeen location is fairly new and the service is not as good as the service in Belton. ENJOY!!! Schoepf's has the old-fashioned thin sauce, very flavorful with course ground black pepper. The best I've ever had and a perfect complement to smoked meats. I also particularly like the chicken.
