ReviewsBest Filet Mignon EVER I grew up near Hill City, SD my whole life and the Alpine Inn has the best filet mignon in the world. It is the only thing on the menu - you get a choice between a small and a large - it comes with a 1/4 head of lettuce with home made ranch style dressing. After you stuff your self on the steak, there is a wonderful assortment of desserts. I recommend the bread pudding :) You know they have delicious food because in the summertime there is about a 1-2 hour wait for dinner. I recommend getting there early (around 5, right when the open). This is definitely a small town restaurant--don't expect fine dining--but it will give you a true feel of South Dakota at it's finest.
