It is so nice to enjoy your dinner and drinks and smell the ocean air. I recommend trying a red headed parrot, this is fabulous! I don't like seafood, but my boyfriend had the shrimp, we had to go back the day before we left town, so he could have it again! I had the chicken fingers, which were incredible! The second time, I had a chicken sandwich. The overall experience was great, loved the restroom decor, something you have to see. After my husband died, I visited his brother and wife in Charleston and while they were at work one day, I drove to the beach. I spotted the restaurant and since it was lunch time, I decided I'd eat there. My main reason was because you could sit outside and feel the ocean breeze and just enjoy the ocean atmosphere. To be honest, I wasn't expecting a great deal when I ordered the shrimp. I WAS fooled. I've never had it so delicious! That evening I raved and raved about the restaurant to my brother-in-law and his wife. The following year I returned to Charleston and YES, I made a beeline to Coconut Joe's with my sister in law.
