ReviewsThe flavor of rustic Tuscany on RIs East Bay Beautiful both inside and out, the Tuscan Tavern has a wide variety of rustic Italian dishes and the service is as good as the food. Meals are served with a selection of delicacies from the antipasto bar, such as marinated mushrooms, Italian olives and prosciutto. Entrees range from the simple (wood grilled pizza) to the gourmet (pork loin in wine sauce). They also have an nice selection of pasta dishes and desserts to die for - especially the tiramisu. On weekdays, the Tuscan Tavern offers a "piccolo menu" until 6:00P.M. which has smaller, reduced price portions of the regular dinenr menu. It can get quite busy during this time so reservations may be in order. Food was unbelievableI ordered a dish called Vitello Dante,Similar to a veal marsala only much better. My husband ordered the Tuscan Prime Rib. It came in a portobello mushroom, wine au jus,and was the best prime rib I've ever had.Service was excellent! It seemed like there were five people waiting on us.Manager visited our table,very pleasant,nice touch.Ambiance very nice.Restaurant was extremely clean.Now we have our own little piece of Italy in the East bay!
