ReviewsDelicious - great atmosphere I must have driven past the Broad Axe Tavern a hundred times on my way to work, but finally stopped in last week. I was pleasantly surprised! The bar and restaurant are very comfortable, clean and overall super! The staff was pleasant and fast. I will go back again and again. Great happy hour too! Check it out. Food Rating [8/10] Service Rating [10/10] Ambiance Rating [8/10] Very poor experience on Mother's Day 2002. After waiting at the bar for our table to be ready the staff came and told us they would be unable to seat us because they were out of food. This was at 7:30pm. Luckily we were able to get into Phil's Tavern located next door. Not sure what the problem was, but rumor has it the place has financial trouble so they must only be able to order what they can pay for. Too bad because we really like the place and the food is very good, if they don't run out. Very poor experience on Mother's Day 2002.
