Reviews I recently visited this restaurant and had the filet. It was done to perfection and tasty. The accompaniments were average. The meal itself - overpriced. The restaurant is nice but I would not consider the atmosphere intimate or a five star. I ordered a tanguery martini before dinner and a house merlow for dinner. I was shocked when I received the bill. $9 for a martini which was small and $6.75 for a glass of wine is totally outrageous. I have never paid that amount in any 5-star restaurant let alone an average restaurant. Also including a 20% tip on the bill for the server is tacky. I am not sure what theme the restaurant is trying to accomplish here. If it wants intimate and upscale the dining room is too open and noisy. The server was mediocre. However if they already know they are going to receive a 20% tip it really doesn't give them much incentive to go out of their way to provide excellent service. I am a good tipper and if my service is excellent I will tip accordingly. If it is trying to make it a family scene it is way overpriced for the quality and qantity of food it provides. My objective for going out to dinner is to be able to have a cocktail or two with a well prepared meal in a pleasant atmosphere with a friendly server. I am willing to pay for this service but I certainly don't appreciate getting price gouged...... Needless to say I cannot recommend this restaurant nor will I return.
