Reviews Shrimp Alfredo ($15) placed large, tender shrimp in fettuccine, with sundried tomatoes and fresh basil, dressed with a Parmesan cream sauce. Parmesan Flounder ($16.95) turned out to be a real winner, with three filets benefiting from the crusty effect as well as the flavor of the Parmesan cheese coating. Silver Queen Crab Cakes ($17.25) take their name from the incorporation of fresh corn, plus a little celery. A crisp cornmeal exterior furthers the theme. A lot of the flavor centered around corn, less than I would have preferred from the crab, although I still rated them good. A fairly sharp aioli and a Southwestern smoked tomato sauce contributed flavor. Grilled Atlantic Salmon ($15.75) struck me as just a little fishy tasting, but not bad, its overall effect well served by a lemon dill butter. An ample portion of sliced, Roasted Pork Loin ($14.25) produced a peppery impact, undergirded by a sweet onion marmalade. I considered both flavor and tender texture in the meat commendable. Vegetable arrays on each plate placed sliced pickled beets, tomato, green beans, sliced carrots, roasted potatoes, and asparagus, fanned around the featured ingredient, for a colorful presentation. I usually associate such an assembly with much more expensive restaurants. They must make operating costs by catering parties and weddings. The food is better and cheaper at a dozen or so local chain establishments. The owner told us that the carpet was milled especially for them and the plates were designed and hand-painted in Italy. It's all gorgeous, and the food is out of this world. There's nothing on the menu that's too "out there," but everyone in our group thought there was something special about what they ordered. I don't know where to start. It has to be one of the most beautiful restaurants in the country -- it looks like a 1920s lakeside mansion. One of the neatest things about the menu is that it has everything you might want if you were taking a group out for a nice dinner (seafood, beef, vegetarian, etc.), but it also has a nice selection of salads and sandwiches for those who just want to mid-week dinner.
