I was really happy to be back in beautiful Aberdeen/Southern Pines for a state training session. Each time I'm in the area I make it a point of going to Applebee's. The food is great and the atmosphere is nice. We ordered our food and waited for nearly 30 minutes during lunch time before we asked our waitress to check on it. She came back and told us the computer is acting up and our order never made it to the cook and is just starting to be cooked. To our dismay everyone else that came in after us was getting their food. The manager then came out and and apologized and told us it would be out as soon as it was fixed. I told him we were here for training and if there was any way to get it to us quickly we'd appreciate it because we had to get back. His response completely angered my coworkers and I. He said, "What do you want me to do, microwave it?" We all just kind of stared at him in disbelief. He did offer it to us at no cost. However, his comment was rude and obnoxious. Free was nice, but it in no way made up for his attitude. He was the manager! There were three of us that day. We are there at least once a month. We always eat there because of the the food.
