ReviewsBad Review The manager obviously doesn't know how to hire the right help. The bussers were slobs the hostess was a ditz, the wait staff well now thats another story. Not the experience I had hoped. Hopefully, they will improve because it could be a nice little romantic place. We arrived just as it opened for the evening guests, and although every table was vacant, they would NOT seat us at a nice booth near the window. Didn't start off as nice as I'd hoped, BUT...the food was ambrosia, the wine was fabulous. The dessert was decadent. Atmosphere is homey and nostalgic, a little romantic - but not sophisticated; if you want that, go to Charley's Crab in Troy. I will definitely go back to the Cider Mill, but suggest that the management train staff on how to really put customers first.
