Such a nice setting. Was delighted to have had the opportunity to have lunch with you. I would, however, like to pass along my experience on June 28,2002 with a group from Heritage Hunt in Va. Such a nice setting. Was delighted to have had the opportunity to have lunch with you. I would, however, like to pass along my experience on June 28,2002 with a group from Heritage Hunt in Va. 1.) The serving staff seemed unfamiliar with serving a large number of people. They did not check with each table prior to serving to see which orders had been placed for that table. Therefore when the food was ready to be served the staff would walk around the room, going from table to table with a platter of food in each hand, asking the quest if they had ordered whatever the platter contained. I do wonder if the staff had identified each table, ie, table 1, 2, etc., and then identified which food choices went with each table, if the serving might have gone smoother and all guest at the table could have been served in a reasonable amount of time. As it was, people waited and waited while other guests at the same table had beem served and eventually began to eat. 2.) This disjointed serving approach continued with the dessert. I wonder if someone could teach the staff how to go about this process in a consistant manner. 3.) The carrots where wonderful, but arrived so long after the meal was served that most were returned.... an awful waste of cooks time and waste of food. 4.) Ceasar Salad. This dish consisted of a piece of sliced deep fried chicked on a bed of romaine lettuce, period. It was tastey, but lacking in what one would expect when ordering Ceasar Salad.
