ReviewsNever to Return Doubtless a poor value. The Caesar salad was comparable to McDonalds package of romaine lettuce with sauce pack. The grilled chicken accompanying it was so heavily covered with seasoning salt that it masked the chicken flavor altogether. Tha mashed potatoes were loaded with garlic salt, again, no potato flavor. Finally, a long wait for food without contact, then a high dollar check. Once and out for us! Nothing to recommend here. No wonder my neighbor Aussies avoid this restaurant. It misrepresents their notion of a steak house at home. Food Rating [2/10] Service Rating [4/10] Ambiance Rating [6/10] Surely by now everyone has eaten at the Outback? Surely by now everyone has eaten at the Outback? Consistent, excellent, flavorful food with pleasant, competent service all over the country. I've enjoyed Outback in Michigan, Florida, Illinois and Arizona. The dinner rush is tough to deal with because the Outback has a lot of fans. As a result, they're busy! Try to hit them at "off hours," to avoid the 30-45 minute wait. They carry my favorite gin, Bombay Sapphire, and that never hurts. Their often hot waitresses seem to be encouraged to sit with you and generally be charming while they take your order -- bugs my girlfriend, but quite ok with me. Steaks are awesome, but their special (bit of a sizzler) is a good bargain in particular. The wings are truly incredible. Not like the usual hot wings (not made with Frank's Red Hot sauce and vinegar) they're very, very meaty (blows BW3 away), spicy, but not really HOT. In short, worth the wait and the money.
