Most reviews that I have seen for the Brass Elephant Restaurant are highly complimentary. Therefore, I looked forward to treating my (senior citizen) mother to a top quality dinner there. Therefore, I looked forward to treating my (senior citizen) mother to a top quality dinner there. Unfortunately, we never had the opportunity to experience the cuisine. We arrived fifteen minutes prior to the time of our reservation and were greeted by the maitre d’, Mr. Jack Ellsby. After waiting a full hour for our table we left the restaurant in disgust. I had intended to write a letter of complaint to the manager or owner of the restaurant about the lack of service provided by the maitre d’, but I have learned that this discourteous man who works as the maitre d’ is also the restaurant’s owner and manager!
