They dont know their food

I had dinner there this past weekend. The restaurant advertised casual dining. What I got was overpriced chicken marsala a la Amicci's, which meant a slab of (probably defrosted) chicken in a bed of watery sauce and mushroom slices, with linguini and red sauce served in a bowl on the side. I'm not Italian, but I've had chicken marsala a good number of times in a variety of restaurants, and I *know* this dish does not come with red sauce. I did *not* order spaghetti and chicken gravy. When I questioned the waitress, she insisted that that was how the dish was prepared. Funny, the menu description didn't mention marinara sauce. I know the waitress noticed that I had dumped the sauce and was mixing my gravy and red-stained linguini, but she did not offer to rectify the dish. I won't be back. Christine Who?

Amicci's is a great family-owned restaurant in Little Italy. Amicci's uses all fresh ingredients and cooks every dish to order. If Christine knew what she was talking about, she might have given a better review. It just shows that anyone with a computer can write untrue statements about a business that works hard every day and feeds thousands of satisfied customers every week! I suggest when Christine has a problem with the food in any restaurant, that she ask to speak with the owner or manager to notify them of her problems. This scenerio/dining experience is very uncommon and if it were legitimate, it would have been rectified on the spot! It's very easy to sit at a computer and try to destroy a restaurant's reputation anonymously! That doesn't sound very fair to me. Christine, if you have a valid concern, I'd love to hear it in person, not on a computer screen. Amicci's is a great family-owned restaurant in Little Italy.
