One of my trips is to go south to Looeyville to eat at Kaelin's. I was told that Col. Sanders formulated his "herbs & spices" while working in Kaelin's kitchen. True or not, the chicken has always been delicious. For me, it was at first the cheeseburger plate, in honor of their claim to have invented the sandwich in '34. Later the fried chicken breast with potato salad, and still later the chicken salad sandwich with potato salad. Everything is good! Service is excellent and the ambience is fitting for this old time family restaurant. I'm coming again this May, and I can already taste the chicken! k For the past 14 years I've come from California to Indy for the 500. One of my trips is to go south to Looeyville to eat at Kaelin's.
