ReviewsDecent food, biased service I have been to nearly every restaurant in the Bloomington area, but I have only received terrible service at a handful of them... Bombay House was definitely one of the worst. After being seated, we (my two friends and I) were given menus and water. We were never asked if we would like anything other than water. We all decided on dishes that were vaguely described to us by our server, who was much more interested in the 3 girls next to us than even trying to please my group. Our appetizer came out after about 20 minutes of waiting (which was fine since they were relatively busy), but we never got any refills on our water. The food was spicy enough that we were nearly begging for water. The girls next to us received their beers, plus 2 more bottles before we finally got our refills on water. About an hour and 10 minutes after sitting down, we finally got our food. The dishes were good, but for the price there wasn't a lot of food there. I ordered a lamb dish which was slightly overcooked, but still edible. After being there for nearly 2 hours, we were patiently waiting for the check to come and for some more refills, but it wasn't until the table of girls (who had a crowd of male servers around them almost the whole time) next to us made a scene about how we hadn't been taken care of very well that we finally got our check. We had to stop somewhere on the way home to get something else to drink because the food had been spicy but we never got our last refills.
