ReviewsCalzones for lunch I've been very pleased with adding D.P. Dough to the lunch rotation at work. I've only had the Spinner (garlic, spinach, mozzarella) and the Low-Cal-Zone (spinach, broccoli, lowfat cheeses), but people I've gone to pick up lunch with have had a variety of other 'zones, and liked them. You might want to consider getting an extra helping of marinara sauce to pour on top. Not the quickest lunch in Newark if you forget to call ahead, though. I've been very pleased with adding D.P. Food Rating [6/10] Service Rating [8/10] Ambiance Rating [2/10] Pizza Substitute The Calzones at D.P. Dough come in many different flavors (only one shape and size but many different fillings). The D.P. Dough definition of a ‘zone’ seems to be any manner of food wrapped in a pizza-type crust. I like the ones that contain breaded chicken and buffalo wing sauce with cheese. These people are very flexible, if they have the ingredients they will throw it into a ‘zone’ for you. Many people find the size of a ‘zone’ to be just about right, I have a big appetite and find them lacking. 1 and a half would probably be just around right. The Calzones at D.P. Too small for a healthy appetite Food Rating [6/10] Service Rating [2/10] Ambiance Rating [2/10] The perfect college food I spent the summer of 2002 researching and living at the University of Delaware, and while there I was introduced to the wonders of DP Dough. Upon meeting students at the school, DP Dough soon became a staple in my eating out rotation. Actually, it soon became pretty much the only place I would eat at in Newark. The selection is outstanding; there must be 50 or so different calzones to choose from. They're ALWAYS made fresh, and you can even choose the ingredients yourself if you can't find one on the menu that you like. This DP Dough location also offeres a free soda with your order if you don't require delivery. The calzones are large enough for an entire meal for one person, though eating here every night probably wouldn't help you stay slim. It's a shame this chain hasn't grown more. Plenty of choices so you'll never get bored. The food rocks! :d Where can you live like a king off of 5 dollars a day? DP definately. One calzone, half for lunch, half for dinner. Service was...ok. The food was served fresh and very hot however the staff sat there and watched movies in plain view of customers...although I can't blame them since we were the only customers during prime lunch time! Great for a very quiet lunch spot! My co-workers and I frequent DP often on our lunch break; however we have yet to be there when anyone else has come in to eat.......which we find rather unusual.
