The folks at Jessop's Tavern are always willing to go the extra mile. The food is excellent- bring a hearty appetite!! The building itself is full of charm and the people are always friendly. I always found it to be a relaxing retreat and the beer selection is wonderful. Try a Beamish!! (Like a Guiness only better!) I would also recomend the fruit/cheese/sausage smorgasbord. Every time I have gone I have had only very good experiences: Friendly Staff, good food and good drink. The colonial decor and dark cozy feel of the place makes it a great place to take a date if you want to talk and not have to feel to dressed up or too casual. I found the food selection to be interesting and the food was well prepared -- nothing special, nothing Nuevo or strange, but good and tasty.
