ReviewsHorrible Service I visited the IHOP restaurant on Route 13 in New Castle, Delaware. I visited the IHOP restaurant on Route 13 in New Castle, Delaware. The service was horrible. The waitress had an attitude, she gave us warm cranberry juice, no napkins, no knifes or straws. They ran out of chocolate chips and my 6 yr old daughter ordered the smiley face chocolate chip pancake. Instead of telling me that they had run out, the waitress subsituted a strawberry pancake. My daughter took 2 bites out of it, did not like it. When I told the waitress we wanted to return it she said NO since my daughter had eaten some. I told her that was not what we ordered. She left and kept us waiting for 20 minutes. When she came back she trew the bill on the table. Food Rating [4/10] Service Rating [4/10] Ambiance Rating [6/10] Very Unsatisfactory Service The hostess wrote our names down when we were the only ones in line, when she called our name one minute later, she screamed it very loud. Our seats had food on them, the mens' bathroom had a very slippry floor. It took 22 minutes to get waited on, our coffee thermos was dirty; my friend asked the waitress if she needed to send out a search party for our breakfast 25 minutes after we ordered? Once breakfast arrived we had to ask for silverware, which was dirty. My stuffed french toast (which I had seen on tv and craved) was cold, I sent it back after I spit out a piece and got the same one back a bit warmer and with more whip cream to hide the part I bit. I had to ask for my orange juice, the waitress happen to forget it. Young people are great in the restaurant business if they are mature and profesional; these young people stood in a group of 6-8 and joked and laughed while customers needed help. IHOP had no existing professionals, youth or adults. The manager was in the kitchen cooking when we asked to speak to him.
