Great Food In El Mirage! Finally!!!

The Rio Mirage has a great aptmosphere and the workers there are very nice. I had a specialty of theirs called the "Rio Grande Burrito" and it was great. It is very inexpensive. Been there on a number of occasions...ok, regular customer. Great food. The best in the West Valley. Not a chain-restaurant. The restaurant is really busy on the weekends and Margarita nite, but it will be worth the wait. They also welcome reserved parties/luncheons. The staff is mostly bilingual, so don't be scared. They have a number of daily specials and a lunch menu to browse thru. They also have reasonable prices. The menu has many dishes, so there will be something on the menu you will enjoy. Also, don't forget the chips and salsa are included. I recall their salsa won best in Phoenix 2002, Cinco De Mayo. On average, between 2 people, and non-alcoholic drinks, dinner will run you about $20-25 minus gratuity. One detail that stands out is one, if not both owners, are always present. If you ever have a problem (not likely), it will be remedied on the spot. Finding a decent Mexican restaurant in Phoenix Metro is pretty hard to come by. This restaurant in El Mirage is what I compare other restaurants to. Rio Mirage Cafe & Cantina has my vote for best in Phoenix. Been there on a number of occasions...ok, regular customer. Great food.
