Unique Choices and Varieties

The food at Igibon is always excellent, plus, it is unique from other sushi establishments. I had had the California rolls, which of course are delicious. However, they also have specialties: Arkansas rolls, Igibon rolls, and Little Rock rolls, just to name a few. All delicious. The restaurant is very cute and quaint, family run. I make it there at least once a week and I know all the waitresses by name. Very personal. The only problem I can think of is the service: it is pretty slow. They have one (sometimes two) sushi chefs. But I continue to go because the sushi is the best in Little Rock. Not only do they have sushi, but regular dished with chicken and beef, etc. There is something for everyone. This is definitely a place you will want to try. Best sushi in Little Rock

I agree completely with the previous review. There are a couple of points I feel are worth adding. I agree completely with the previous review. There are a couple of points I feel are worth adding. My wife and I are avid sushi lovers, having tried all the restaurants in Central Arkansas, as well as countless others in several states. Igibon is our favorite of them all. The food is, of course, top notch. They have a fairly standard sushi menu, with a few of their own rolls to add. The fish is always fresh and the portions are generous. No little thin, mostly rice nigiri here! Chef Paul is quite proficient and often takes time to explain his dishes in detail. The taste is wonderfully consistent. Never have we been when any aspect was substandard. My few experiences with their fairly extensive non-sushi menu have been quite good, and I've been told by our "raw-fish-challenged" friends that they are never disappointed. Patrons of other sushi restaurants probably do not grasp just how pampered Igibon's guests (and they do make you feel like valued guests) really are. Nearly all the staff know us by name, know our professions and our families. They remember our preferences, such as low-sodium soy, our favorite appetizers and our drinks. We rarely have to ask for any of these. Yes, the food is slow to arrive. Sometimes very slow. Know this going in. But the atmosphere is pleasant, quiet, and relaxing. Order an appetizer and enjoy their hospitality for a while. Don't plan on staying less than an hour, and at busy times 90 minutes might be a better estimate. Before 7:00pm on weekdays, most nigiri are just $1.00. And again, they are not small pieces of fish. The more expensive varieties are less than $2.00. At other times their prices are similar to other Japanese restaurants in the region. If you like Japanese food, especially sushi, and have not yet been to Igibon, you owe it to yourself to try. I can almost assure you that you'll become a regular customer.
