There are very few local chip shops that come close. Part of this I'm sure is that apparently the chips are cooked in animal fat. (not ideal for veggies then ;) The fish is apparently very tasty(this is from my brother/dad, personally I can't stand fish/seafood and always have the sausage) Quote: Woah, this is as good as that Chip Shop in Driffield. Seriously overcooked fish and the chips were not much better. Pathetic for a restaurant that specialises in this type of food. When Harry Ramsden's was a single restaurant in Guiseley, run by Eddie Stokes and his wife, it was a wonderful establishment. Unfortunately, since the takeover and expansion by a greedy capitalist corporation, it has lost its previously unique character and become yet another crap 'Macdonalds' equivalent. And I issue no apology for saying this; the truth requires none. When Harry Ramsden's was a single restaurant in Guiseley, run by Eddie Stokes and his wife, it was a wonderful establishment.
