Food Rating [10/10] Ambiance Rating [10/10] Anacaona The food was excellent, ambiance was wonderful set in a candlelight atmosphere with tradewinds and a beautiful sunset. Service was excellent. It was well worth the money and provides a lasting memory. I can't wait to return. Food Rating [10/10] Service Rating [10/10] Ambiance Rating [10/10] DO NOT GO TO ANACAONA We went to Anacaona on August 29th, 2003. The setting was beautiful, but the it was not worth the money spent. The food was terrible!! My husband ordered a rack of lamb and all he got was one riblet, NO RACK!!! I ordered a lobster tail that was like rubber and tasted terrible. I had lobster tail two nights prior at Mangos Reef and I got (2) tails, not just one. They were the best I ever had and were 10 dollars cheaper. We wasted $110 on this Anacaona and would recommend NO ONE go there unless you want small portions and terrible food. We spoke to the manager and told her that there must be a misprint on the menu and she could not explain why we only got ONE rib. We ended up going back to our hotel to eat because we were still hungry after the puny portions at this restaurant. We went to Anacaona on August 29th, 2003.
