Top : Trinidad_and_Tobago : Tobago : Speyside : Jemmas Seaview KitchenCasual eatery located in a partial treehouse which is propped up on stilts. Around a large almond tree hanging out to the surf line. Open windows allow a cooling breeze to flow through and numerous blackbirds fly about from branch to branch within the restaurant. As soon as a table is vacated the seemingly restrained birds swoop down to start devouring the scraps before the speedy waitresses take over. A perfect atmosphere in which to enjoy her local and creole cooking. Main Street Speyside Tobago Trinidad and Tobago Telephone : (868) 660-4066

ReviewsBest spot for a taste of delicious local cuisine! I have been to Jemma's kitchen each and every time that I have visited Tobago, and the restaurant never fails to please! Their menu items are taken from the best of Tobago cuisine, fused with french and international fare. A treehouse made entirely of wood, with birds that flit from one empty table to another, vainly looking for scraps. It's very breezy there, and the staff are very friendly. Last, but certainly not least, you get bang for your buck. Jemma's dishes cost less than what you would pay, say at Shirvan's or Seahorse Inn, but the quality is on par with the best gourmet restaurants on the island, but served with down-to-earth island hospitality. Instead of getting one plate with your order, Jemma serves all the side dishes seperately, with your plate coming with the main dish you ordered (e.g. seafood on one plate, with vegetables, rice, baked pies in their seperate bowls/dishes). A must-experience for every food lover!! I'll never go Tobago without stopping at least once at Jemma's. Note - they're not open on Saturdays, but all other days for tea, lunch and dinner.
