One of the most "looked forward to" aspects of any trip to Phuket has always been dinner at the Boathouse (we have eaten there on at least 5 occasions)which we always saved till the last night. Sadly however last night (Friday 18th April 2003) we had a truly apalling experience there! The food can only be described as average but the service was dismally bad. The staff were inattentive and careless, food was late getting to the table and of course only just warm rather than hot! I really don't know what happened and frankly I don't care but when 3 people spend over 8,000 Baht on dinner I think I expect better.
