I went to Nooch last Friday with three friends for dinner. I ordered a bowl of Prawn Ramen because in the menu it was stated that there are: miso bas, seafood, prawns, wakame, naruto (Japanese fishcake), egg, chives, seasonal greens, and spring onions. However my bowl of noodles had all the ingredients except seafood. All I can find were two prawns and I was told by the person who serve me that the seafood is the colorful fishcake! Can you believe, fishcake as fresh seafood? When we I dined with two friends at the Nooch, The Noodle Bar (City Link Mall) on Saturday evening (10 May). When we asked for the bill, we discovered that there was this 1% CESS tax. When we enquired what this 1% CESS tax was all about, the waiter called upon the restuarant manager to explain to us. We are extremely unhappy in his haughty attitude in replying. He told us that this 1% CESS tax is imposed by the government on any restuarant that serves alcoholic drinks. When we replied that we only consumed japanese green tea, he replied in a curt and disdainful manner that this is a government regulation and this tax amount would not go into his pocket. We are ignorant of this 1% CESS tax and needed explaination. Do we warrant such haughty mannerism, when all we want is to understand what we are being billed for, even when the amount is not significant? During this SARS scare period which hit businesses, especially in the food and services industries, shouldn't Nooch train up their staff to be more customer-friendly when responding to queries? This whole dining experience at Nooch makes us think thrice before we ever step into Nooch again. There are plenty of dining places with great food and friendly customer services. While we were having our food, one of their waiteresses spilled the chili oil on my shirt and hair and my friend's white shirt. Everyone in the restaurant noticed it and was pointing at my shirt but none of their staff came to help. I went to Nooch with 3 friends for dinner. While we were having our food, one of their waiteresses spilled the chili oil on my shirt and hair and my friend's white shirt. Everyone in the restaurant noticed it and was pointing at my shirt but none of their staff came to help. Then I asked for the manager but there was only the supervisor. She did not apologise and just said both of us affected will have our meal charges waived. I accepted the offer but before leaving, approached the manager kindly for her name but she refused saying it wasn't necessary and asked me not to shout & that she doesn't like people to shout at her. What's worst was my frend left her bag at the place and we went back in just five minutes. When approached, she said they didn't see it. A kind lady eating there went over and said she passed the bag to the supervisor at the counter. Then she looked down at her feet to get the bag. My advice, never go to Nooch at CitiLink. They are not good. Food Rating [6/10] Service Rating [2/10] Ambiance Rating [6/10]
