Although the interval between the dishes was a little long, I would like to say thank you for the excellent service provided by the staff that served us that evening. She is very courteous and polite. She is also attentive and helpful. With such an excellent and helpful staff, I will definitely recommend the restaurant to my Singapore and Oversea friends. Reason could be the long queque at the entrance of the restaurant blocked the way of the waitresses from quick delivery of food to guests who are at the other side from the kitchen. The fried wanton was also not very hot but it is still very crispy - this the only dish that I would give higher mark. And he is Patrick, whom I believe is one of the superiors. My son and I were sitting at the kitchen exit. Though there was a slighly raised barrier next to our table, when a sizzling pot was placed on the service desk next to us, the hot sauce splattered slightly on me. I made a complaint to Patrick there and then. He immediately instructed the kitchen staff not to place hot and sizzling plates on the service desk next to us. He even repeatedly checked that his instructions were followed. When it wasn't, he made it a point to continually remind the staff. He did that at least three times. Apparently, I do not have any small change in my wallet when I gave a $50 note to her for buying some cakes. She was making some noise in front of all the other customers and throw the change at the bakery tray whereby is so oily. I was so mad and decided to tell all my colleagues how I was treated at the bakery shop last nite. Everyone knows that I am a cake/bread lover. This Toa Payoh branch was a total disappointment in terms of their service. My bad encounter happened last week. Their server brought my mum to a table. Within a split second, the same server brought another family to the same table where my mum was sitting. And asked my mum to move to another table. A while later, the same server lead my mum to another table. In total, there was a shift of three times. No apologies & no explanations were given. The best part was that we were being ignored when we asked the same server for a reason. We told another server who apologised and commented that this would be brought up to the manager. After the whole meal, nothing was done & the manager was nowhere to be seen. I wouldn't bother writing this review if i have not tried their other branches.
