ReviewsNot a Good Place for a Sunday Brunch Waited to be seated, waited for drinks, waited to have our order taken, waited for refills on coffees, waited for dishes to be cleared. The management really needs to take a look at how things are working here. Plenty of people were working, not enough getting accomplished. The coffee was terrible, definitely need to look at a new brand. For $40 for three people, this was not a satisfactory experience. Bad coffee is offensive, especially at the price they request for a cup. Their coffee is OFFENSIVE. First off, good coffee brings 'em back, believe me. Being polite to my company, I bit my tongue and smiled politely, knowing damn well I should have made a fast u-turn in the parking lot and claimed the ABC Restaurant burned down. When I walked through the door, it all came back to me. Being polite to my company, I bit my tongue and smiled politely, knowing damn well I should have made a fast u-turn in the parking lot and claimed the ABC Restaurant burned down. Took forever to be seated. Worse than a Sunday Sermon given by the pastor's parents visiting from Tki-Tki-Tabo. Long, inconsequential and the feeling as if you're being prepped for something else. "Really", I justified to the hostess, "I'm just hungry!" If I want bad food, I'll eat at home. If I want a fork that falls on the ground, I'll eat at home. If I want to wait over an hour for my food, I'll eat at home. Bottom line? Donating my hard earned money is not a hobby. When I come through those doors with the intention of at some point giving you money, I expect something in return. If I pay for overpriced food, not only had the waitress better smile, compliment me on my ugly shoes and tell my kids they're cute, but she had better have a good attitude about it. The ABC Restaurant takes. They do not give. Most of the clientele are elderly, young families, older middle-aged couples or people seeking a quiet meal out. The ABC Restaurant gives bad service, serves bland food, the worst coffee I have ever had, and has an atmosphere that is so filled with hearts and flowers I find it hard to sit and eat, and then sign the bill. But somehow this shoddy little hole in the wall is still there. Year after year. After year. Is it because of those cute teddy bears they sell next to the pies? Or the scrumptious mints that are half unwrapped in the "thank you" jar at the till. Maybe it's because there is nothing so awful in all the Lower Mainland, and it's the only quiet place to eat out? Hmm. Food Rating [4/10] Service Rating [4/10] Ambiance Rating [4/10]
