ReviewsGreat Food all the time Chef Puck always creates a great meal - phone him up - tell him what you feel like eating and let him do the rest. While the wine list isn't deep you'll find it adequate. Also Puck will cater at your at your villa. (We'd only had bagels for breakfast on the flights down.) I had read about The Flying Iguana in the Frommer's guide, so we decided to give it a try. When we drove up to the restaurant, which is situated right next to the little airport on V.G., we were a little skeptical because there were no other patrons there at the time, but we later discovered that we can never assume that on V.G. as it is so uncrowded there. We were pleasantly surprised by the best food on the island! And the most friendly chef on the island, too. Puck blends West Indian flavors with a cosmopolitan flair. Beautiful presentation and delicious food. The mahi-mahi Caesar salad sounded like an odd dish, but the fish was prepared to perfection. The key lime pie with amaretto drizzled on top was just absolutely divine. As we sat on the patio with the Trade Winds fanning us, we finally felt like we had arrived in the Caribbean. The only downside was that from that point we expected food on the same caliber from the other restaurants we visited. Usually we were left disappointed, and so during the course of our week-long stay we decided to return twice more to this wonderful little establishment. Curry shrimp, lobster Caesar, and "Duck by Puck" were some of the other dishes we tried. We were always warmly welcomed by our host Puck then well satisfied by our meals. If we ever return to the island, we will head straight to the Flying Iguana! We had just arrived on Virgin Gorda not more than 2 hours earlier when we decided to go look for something to eat.
